Due to the clinical success achieved in Cuba with the use of Placental Histotherapy for the treatment of different dermatological conditions, by a group of scientists led by Professor Dr. Carlos Manuel Miyares Cao, different medications were developed to be used in the treatment of some skin diseases, whose results are satisfactory in diseases such as: Vitiligo; Psoriasis and Alopecia Areata.

The development of research over the years has made it possible to increase the therapeutic efficacy of Melagenina lotion, today called "Melagenina Plus". Drug of high efficacy in the treatment of Vitiligo (86%), which has the ability to stimulate the reproduction of melanocytes, the cells that produce melanin, a substance that gives the pigment to human skin and many animals.

In the case of Psoriasis, the clinical trials carried out with the placental drug "Coriodermina" determined that it had a therapeutic efficacy of 78% without the incidence of secondary, local or systemic adverse reactions.
